Beautiful, calm and sweet – that’s Mazie. She was left at animal control by her family when they moved and decided they didn’t want to take their dogs with them. Shelter volunteers said she seemed as though she thought she was in boarding, waiting for her family to come back from vacation. She was so well-behaved as she waited patiently and silently in her run. When taken outside, she’d always go to the fence and look out into the parking lot, as though looking for her family to return for her. How sad for this precious girl.
Mazie is 8-years-old, quiet and extremely easy-going. She’s a Lab mix – possibly with some shepherd heritage too. She weighs right around 70 pounds, but she really needs to put on a couple more to be healthy. She’s house-trained, good with kids and other dogs. She’s also great on- leash and she’ll pop into your back seat without being asked. She’s a great car rider that takes treats very, very nicely. And we’ve learned that she sits and lies down when told.
Mazie needs to be part of a family again. She’s looking for forever this time around. She deserves it.
